Outings

Hey Guys n Gals....

I'm alvin here again =) Jus discharged from hospital seen that the blog seems stagnent so i decide to entertain u all by telling some interesting stuff i have seen in the hospital =)

In my stay in hospital i've seen all kind of patients from all walks of life...Here i will mention to u some of the more unusual ones i have witnessed tat have nv fail to amuse me! =)

Patient number 1: A 65 year old Man. Whole life nv work before and still being supported by his parents who are already 80 plus...He is super noisy...talk n talk non stop in the ward...has been trying to be the longest staying patient in the hospital's history for a cut on his foot...He stayed for a total of 1 month 1 day before being chased out of the hospital...He literally find any fault he can find in the hospital to prolong his stay...for ex he got a mosquito bite in hospital den he demanded to be warded further cuz he suspect the mosquito is a dengue carrier =P Besides, he also try to prolong his stay by refusing to walk out of hospital and claiming his leg is too weak to walk!! =)

Patient number 2: This man is special...He is born in the year 1919...Has gone through world war 1 and world war 2 unharmed and still very fit..tink even fitter than me now! =) Has contracted cancer n requires operation..However, he does not want to operate, he rather believes in some pills a quake doctor gave him many years ago and claims the med can cure all diseases...He even slip a pill into my med...luckily a nurse saw it la!! Wah lau!! He is a gambler too..everyday forces the nurse to go out but toto 4-D for him...His dying wish? To strike 4-D or toto once! =) Besides, he oso like to play doc..always teaching the nurses n doc wat to do whenever they do their rounds..if not for the fact he is so old i am sure the nurses n docs will beat him up la! =)

Patient number 3: Another old man...He is already 50..warded cuz his whole body bcome bloated...literally...like those seen in movies lidat..den he went for operation to remove body fluids...He is a manager of a KTV lounge..keep asking me to patronise him..but there's a problem..his ktv is in Geylang Lorong 15!!! A dirty lounge...He oso has a dying wish..He wants to open a clean KTV along orchard road one day..Hmm if he ever fulfill his dream den i'll go to his "Clean" KTV lor!!!=)

Anw tat's all for now..my left hand still bloated from the pencillin and amylopcin IV drips for 4 days...cant type le..Oh..my title is outings rite? yea lets have some more of it before sch re-opens! Be it mahjong movies soccer BBQ or anything!!! enjoy the holidays while it lasts! Dun be like me haven even enjoy yet =( Ok till den u guys take care! =)

Night Cycling Updates 1

Hei Guys and Girls...

The night cycling is TOMORROW... those going hoepd you are excited... it going to be a night of relaxing and 'stars glazing' night... think the confirmed timing is 8pm straight at ECP... those don't know how to go one please contact someone...

Here are some pointers to take note before coming...
1) Do not bring a big bag... we are going to cycle... don't bring too much stuffs... or too big a stuff... it is for your comfort while cycling... but up to you lar...

2) Bring a water bottle with drinkable water... about 500ml bottle will be good... we might not go pass alot of 7/11 or petrol station so bring something to drink... don't bring too big again... don't know where to put... too small... have to find refill... so no point... don't have...! drink sea water!!!

3) Wear something with sleeves if you are scare of cold like me... it will get cold at night... but please stay comfortable hor... you should know lar... right? and try not wear HAll 11 tees... we are not promoting our HAll... but up to you lar...

4) Bring your ICs... some money... for food and water... and of course... whatever you think is necessary...

thats all folks... please try to confirm with Wayne if you want to come... cause he is doing up the list... and be punctual... we need to eat and collect the bikes... and ya hor... it costs $8 per person... haha... don't say i never say...

I agree with Alvin... this is not only a place for informations about outings... is also all about thoughts and feelings and comments and more and more and more... getting glad that more and more people are coming in and checking this blog... haha... seems to me now to check it everyday to see who is new!!! Good Job guys and continue spreading the blog...

heres the thought of the Month by ME... was working in school when the Dean of CEE came chatting with us... there is 1 sentence which he said that keeps me thinking... here it is...

"go join some activities in school... go take up some leadership role... make more new friends and enjoy yourself here... don't wait till after Uni and when you look back... you only think of Exams, Quizes, Tutorials and Lectures... won't it be sad...?"

lastly the KTV is cancelled tomorrow unless last minute alot of people tells me they want to see each other... haha... have a nice day people... SMILE always...

Ulu Ulu For The Soul

Hey Ulu-uluians!!!!

This is Alvin here...N my first post on this blog!!! =) I tink we need to thank Wayne for setting up this blog enthusiastically and create this commonplace for us to meet and interact! *clap clap* We oso need to thank Ken for coming up with this name by accident =) Wei Chen also deserve a special mention for updating posts on the blog to keep it active as well as organising stuff!!

Firstly, i wanna thank u guys alot for ur care n concern n support ever since i had my operation...I am feeling better already and will not have recovered so fast n happily if not for u guys! Xie Xie Ni! =) I ever tot of treating u guys the marina steamboat buffet when i can drive car to thank u all! But i set the date and time den if u all cant make it den too bad yea? =P

Anw i must clarify the Monday outing is not a "see-Alvin" outing la..haa..is more like an outing where we can meet up with one another or for those who got nothing to do can jus some out to chill lor...den pls let wei chen know if u all are going k? so tat he can help organise ma...(but most prob i wont go la..hee) if not it will be CANCELLED!

I feel Ulu-ulu shld not be all abt outings oso la..it shld be a place where u all can share ur tots n feelings as well as a place where u can find care and concern in!!! =) N err btw i still dunno who are the members of Ulu-ulu? maybe u all can identify urselves? =) i like the Kapers idea of celebrating each others' birthday...maybe we can start the tradition here too? =)

HEY...n finally...some updates...Tianying's both parents are down with Dengue warded in CDC in TTSH...now still quite crucial period for them...if possible can go visit them too? or at least show some care n concern yea? =) Angela just passed her driving test Congrats to her!!..Ken misses Hall 11 n u people...

NIGHT CYCLING updates ...

Hi people,
sorry for those who have waited for this critical information to be out. We have booked 10 bikes with tail light from Kit Runner( it is just beside Burger King and 500m off Macdonald's. ) This will be just a temporary amt that we are renting , and we will be able to rent MORE bicycle if there are more ppl going for the event. * even last minute that you decided to go , we will be able to rent one for you .

We will be meeting at 8pm at parkway parade for dinner first perhaps.
Start point and End point will be at ECP.

Each bike rental costs $8.

So, see you guys on 25 may!
*its just some relaxing night cycling :)

hey guys, we are having a over-night cycling trip on the 25th may 2007. Pls update weichen for the attendance if you are interested . We will divide the number of ppl into groups and cycle to various check point through the night. After which, we will end up at the starting point for DE-BRIEF and the loser team will have to treat for breakfast :P
